Find a rock in the basic shape of a heart, paint it red, and ta-dah!! You have an object lesson that will cover many various topics and Bible verses. Depending on the Bible version, the word heart appears about 600 to 800 times. This is definitely a fantastic object lesson with many possibilities.

Consider teaching the children about the difference between the two hearts often talked about: the physical pump that God so wonderfully created us with to pump blood around in our body, and the heart that is the seat of our emotions.

God wants us to love Him with everything we’ve got. The Bible tells us to hide God’s word in our heart. And to write kindness and truth on the tablet or our heart. These are metaphors that give children and adults a visual reminder of how important these things are for us. We should spend time with God and in the Bible every day. Which helps us to make good choices. Such as not do bad things that may hurt God, people, or ourselves. Being kind and truthful from our very heart will help us to have favor with both God and man.
